Our Invited Speakers:
Diane Duddy received a Master of Science from Central Institute for the Deaf at Washington University and a Doctor of Audiology from the George S. Osborn College of Audiology at Salus University. Currently, her practice is located at the Center for Advanced Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.
Laura Flowers received a Master of Science from the Central Institute for the Deaf at Washington University and a Doctor of Audiology from the George S. Osborn College of Audiology at Salus University. Currently, Dr. Flowers is in private practice with Associated Audiologists, Inc. in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
Rich Hogan is the clinical audiologist at Ear Care and Skull Base Surgery, Inc, a neurotology practice in Chesterfield, Missouri. Richard earned his Masters in Communication Disorders – Audiology in 2000 from Missouri State University. He also received a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership Development from Webster University in 2005. He has been a member of the ASHA Health Care Economics Committee since November 2008.
Catherine Schroy started her career as a teacher of the deaf before training as an audiologist. She worked as a clinical audiologist for ten years and now works as a research audiologist at Washington University School of Medicine. Catherine is currently pursuing her PhD in speech and hearing at Washington University.
Elizabeth Mauze is a research audiologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Her 18 year career in the field of audiology has primarily been devoted to the area of aural rehabilitation in adults.
Kristine Grbac-Schomaker is an audiologist at Missouri State University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been involved with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services since 1997 providing audiological consultation to the state universal newborn hearing screening program.
Dennis Selznick is a product developer for Sprint Relay services. Dennis’ current work involves wireless and internet products that are modified to be more accessible. His personal motivation is to enable everyone to be empowered with choices no matter the challenges they face.
Robert Cullen is a practicing otolaryngologist at The Otologic Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His residency at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill was followed by a fellowship in Otology/ Neurotology at House Ear Clinic / House Ear Institute.
Jason Box is an Assistant Professor of Audiology at Missouri State University. He earned his Master of Science degree from the University of Central Missouri in 1994 and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida in 2002. Dr. Box has been a clinical preceptor of postgraduate audiology students since 1997.
Jamie Lanois is an Assistant Professor of Audiology at Missouri State University. She earned her Master of Science degree from Missouri State University in 2002 and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University in 2006. Dr. Lanois has been a clinical preceptor of postgraduate audiology students since 2002.
Deanna Meinke is currently an Associate Professor of Audiology and Speech-Language Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. She is a past president of the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) and the Colorado Academy of Audiology. Presently, she chairs the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) “Safe-in-Sound Expert Committee” and is the 2010 recipient of the NHCA’s Threadgill Award.
CEUs:
MAA has applied to the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 13.25 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
MAA has applied to the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in audiology. This program is offered for 13.25 CEUs for ASHA and 12.25 for AAA(intermediate level; professional area). ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.

We invite you to join us for our annual scope of practice on Thursday, September 16th and Friday, September 17th, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Westport, St. Louis, MO. This year we have an exciting program with both local and nationally recognized presenters. CEUs have been applied for both AAA (12.25) and ASHA (13.25).
